It is always fun to read great trip reports! We were also on a Damai trip one year ago and we can say that it is the best liveaboard in Indonesia out of the four we have tried. We will go back ASAP.

I buy my own photographic kit. Diving equipment manufacturers and diving services suppliers get even-handed treatment from me whether they choose to advertise in the publications I write for or not. All the equipment I get on loan is returned as soon as it is finished with. Did you know you can now get Diver Mag as an iPad/Android app?

Great read and good photos.
PS. If you ever do get bitten by a blue ring, someone just needs to keep up CPR until you can be hooked to an artificial ventilator. The venom wears off after 24hours without further effects.... (Useless trivia #102)
Yeah, yeah...
Have you tried CPR for more than 10 minutes?
There aren't many ventilators on the average dive boat, either...

you can have the Singapore Sling cocktail on any Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flight.. as many as you want, all night long. Just be nice to the cabin crew and you'll get anything you want.
