Premeeting Seminar (7:15PM-8PM): Brad Brown - Preparing Images for Screen and Projector Presentations

FEATURED PRESENTER (8PM – 9:15PM): Randy Herz and Kathy Mendes - Photography in Borneo

Our trip to Borneo (Sabah, Malaysia) was very different for us in that in addition to three days of diving off of a remote island; we visited the Orang utan sanctuary, did some river wildlife viewing (proboscis monkeys, birds, wild elephants and more) and spent four days in the middle of virgin rainforest. It was quite a trip!

Come to the NCUPS meeting Friday night and hear about the challenges we faced including travelling with more than 250 pounds of SCUBA gear, underwater photography equipment, land photography equipment, clothes and gear necessary for trekking through the rainforest; trying to photograph wild animals and birds in the rainforest (hot and humid), leeches, and some funny (now) stories of our travels. A trip report is on my website divermaiden.com, http://tinyurl.com/4wfb4lh and some of Randy’s Borneo images are on his website rherzphoto.com, http://tinyurl.com/4noqa5c.

Following our discussion, we’ll present a slide show set to traditional and not-so-traditional music from Borneo.
