I'm curious of the ergonomics of this camera, maybe it could be a replacement for my ageing Sea & Sea DX-1G

How does the camera operate in manual mode with the Olympus' own housing, that is how do you change aperture and shutter? Can you turn te controll dial on the back with the housing, and is there a separate dial for the other?

I'm not sure about the Oly housing but the Nauticam housing provides two dials, one on the front for aperture and one on the back fro shutter speed. You need to press the +/- button though between changing from shutter speed to aperture which is a small issue with the camera.

I bought one with oly housing for my younger daughter 11 years old, she's quite happy with this camera and produced lot of good pictures as you can see in her blog

She mostly shoot in manual.
With oly housing in manual mode, you can change the apperture but not the shutter speed. To change the shutter speed, change to Tv mode and change with the ring on the port and then switch to manual mode. Not very practical indeed, not sure if any faster way.

You can change both the shutter speed and aperture on the Oly housing. Simply press the x/- button and then the left/right buttons to increase/decrease aperture while in manual. I like this camera quite a bit.

This was shot with the Nauticam housing and a +5 FIT diopter.

Indeed! So that means you cant turn the control wheels on the Oly housing at all then, right? You need use the push button function of the rear controll wheel to do everything?

Thanks, by chance I got to hold the housing without camera yesterday. So you can twist the front control-ring (the lens ring), but the rear can only be pushed. Are you saying you're toggling the function of the front ring with the +/- button then?

When I played with only the camera last week it seemed like you can make incremental shutter speed changes by pushing the rear ring too, so maybe that could be a workaround workflow.

I'd much fancy the Nauticam housing, but the price difference is almost a WA-lens...

Could somebody attach a photo of the camera within the Oly housing?
An idea of the amount of space at the top of the camera is what I am looking for...I amplanning to drill the housing and fit a bulkhead and weikamp adapt to 2 x YS-110alphas.
I prefer the 110s to the Oly offer, even though they are both made by Sea&Sea.....Oly strobes just use control board from Oly and not Sea&Sea borad.

would be really helpful if somebody could help with this.....
