everybody has to learn somewhere though ... i thought scotty chose a good place

although .. asking your dive guides is always a good bet they do know more than most about the areas your in.

and if you're diving somewhere new without a dive guide .. then stupid wtupid you .. you're missing out on all the information that local people know and getting half the experience.
