Does anyone know who might have a Nikon 12-24 DX lens in stock in the US or Canada? I sold mine to a resort pro on my last trip and can't find another. Everyone I called is back-ordered until mid-January. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

B&H e-mailed me last week to say they have the lens in stock.

If that does not work, I was holding one late last week at the local photo shop. That would be in Canada.

1-(306) 347-7887 and ask for Jeff (Don's Photo)

Tell him you were talking to Todd if they still have it. Don't know if that gets you any special treatment but at least he will know why you are calling from the USA.

So does that mean you are getting a Canon? :-)

Thanks guys! B&H is sold out again as are all the other mail order companies I called. Todd, I did talk to Jeff and he's got one as well as several of the 10.5 fisheye lenses. Now I have to decide which one to buy. Thanks again for your help and suggestions.

I will have to go on the payroll over there if this keeps up.LOL

Glad I could help and hope it all works out for you. Anytime.

James, the fluctuating dollar can make them a supreme bargain or just about the same as down south or worse. It all depends on the exchange rate 6 months ago was, I think, as high as 1.60 for me to get US cash and now it is 1.35. That type of fluctuation is not common or anticipated. I think new pricing comes out in January so they may adjust accordingly. (The accountant in me talking)

The exchange rate isn't in our favour right now. Either that, or I just sounded too despirate on the phone. By the time I pay shipping, etc. I'll be around $750-$800. List price on the US mail order sites is around $680 but most of them just laughed when I asked when they would have them in stock.
