I was recently diving in Belize and shooting video with my new D7000. Since I was shooting video, I was using available light and wanted to measure it. So I took a gray card down with me.
I was rather surprised when I used the dropper in Aperture to measure the white balance. According to Aperture it's 50,000K. No, I didn't accidentally slip an extra "0" in there. Honestly, at 50,000K the gray card does look correct. But, I don't think any camera let's us crank the color temp up that high.
At what white balance do other's shoot video?
Color Temp at 60ft measured with gray card
