I have a friend that is looking for a housing for the Canon G10. He already has the camera, so would prefer just a housing. A strobe could be if interest as well.

Its such a new camera I doubt there will be any used housings out there. I have used homemade, ikelite, equinox, and now light and motion bluefin. The bluefin housing for this camera is AMAZING. Well worth the price (and I'm very frugal). If you want access to the most important functions for uw video in this particular camera. This is the way to go.

New? Are you sure you are you are talking about a G10? The G10 is a digital still camera (released) back in like 2008, its not a video camera so the L&M Bluefin housing is not applicable to this camera..

I have the complete rig:

Canon G10 (2008) and Ikelite Dual Strobe (2009) underwater camera rig. LOTS of extras for different set ups.

This rig has been optimised for traveling and diving ease with options for different dive environments. Its a great rig to use as a step up from a point and shoot before going SLR. I have modified the rig over the last few years with new gear and small refinements that make it incredibly versatile and easy to use. It is neutrally buoyant and can be used deep, shallow, snorkeling and on land trips with all of the extras included. You can go with the full rig with dual strobes, a single arm set up or a snorkeling/rainy trek set up. There is an Ikelite housing and a lightweight Canon housing. The rig breaks down into a lockable Pelican case for storage/travel.

I am stepping up to a SLR and about to spend a bunch of money getting a rig that will last me the next ten years. I will miss this one, but it is better off with someone looking for a complete set up that is literally ready to go on a dive trip. Various bits of the rig have been used on 50 or so dives. All equipment VERY well taken care of and serviced regularly. Never had a flood or any problems with batteries or memory. All o-rings cleaned regularly and kept wet in silicone grease. Housings are stored with desiccant. Some minor wear from use, but no abnormal damage. Happy to provide more close up pics to anyone serious about buying.

Important notes: The WD-4 wide angle dome had a scratch (they all get one- its just a matter of when) that has been polished out with the Novus kit (included). The LCD on the camera had a scratch that was polished out, but this wore away the anti glare covering which is not a problem- just does not look great when the camera LCD is off. The repair does not impact the camera performance. There are pics of both of these items for your own review.

Most of the gear was purchased tom Backscatter.com in the US. Will ship anywhere in the world (your cost) from here in Australia. Pelican case packed up is 10.5kgs, the box of extras are another 4kgs so 15kgs total shipping weight.

Brand new, all of this kit cost over US$4,000.

Items included:

4x 6" StiX arm segments with large floats
6x Ultralight buoyancy segment clamps
1x Ikelite 4103.52 dual strobe cord for TTL
1x Ikelite DS51 substrobe with TTL

I will pass this in to my friend, Longimanaus. And thanks, rramaley, I did not get the possible confusion with a video camera, as I donīt do any video what so ever. It is correct that it is the 2008 Canon G10 still I was looking for.

Pfulks,

I have to eat crow here. I didn't realise Canon has come out with a video camera also called a G10. Not sure what Canon was thinking there as it will cause confusion in the aftermarket (our case in point).

Sorry about that.

Longimanaus,

I am new to this board, but I am not new to the boards such as Scubaboard.com and Scubatoys.com. Anyway, I am interested in some of the items you have for sale such as wd-4 wide lens. Do you mind sending pictures of the items you have to doc_1982@hotmail.com?

Thanks a bunch!
