The modeling lights use krypton bulbs (KSA 6, PR18 base, 7.2 v).
I am considering replacing the krypton bulbs with LED replacements for brighter light and longer life (both battery and bulb).
The LED replacement bulbs that I found are:
http://www.led-repla.../6_maglite.html (either the first or second one from the left).
Wondering if this will work, anyone else try it?
Thanks,

Anyone?I have two Ikelite DS 125's that I use as slaves with EV controllers... (mostly cave diving)

I guess that will be my next step, I'll post whatever I learn.I wish I knew. Did you try contacting Ikelite directly? I'd be interested in doing the same thing if they work. Good luck.

Only thing that may bother some people would be that the modeling/focusing LED light no longer has a tight spot, more of a flood due to the reflector not being designed for the bulb, but to me it did not make much difference.
The NiCad battery pack that the DS 125 had was also not holding a decent charge so I used the instructions Bill Libecap posted on the forum and voila, I now have a DS 125 NiHM battery pack and an LED modeling/focusing light. (now I have no make sure it doesn't flood...)
Happy camper here...thank you wetpixel...
