Dear Governor Brown,
I note that you have not yet signed into law AB376, banning the sale of shark fins in California.
I would urge that you do so soon. The issues around shark fin are really quite simple and have nothing to do with ethnicity or culture. Unless we act now to stop the numbers of sharks being caught, we will eradicate them as a species from the planet.
Hence this is a conservation issue.
We are asking California to take the lead and show the world that the management and conservation of our planets' oceans is a priority.
Please sign the bill into law at your earliest convenience.
