Can someone tell me how to add a sync cord to my set up for firing off camera flash? I do u/w portraits and have 2 ikelite DS125 strobes.

What I've been experimenting with:
I plugged one strobe into my camera and use it as a key light.
I mounted the second one on a light stand and connected it to an off camera slave - the slave points toward my key light and fires the second strobe. It points at 3 SB800 flashes in a second stand on deck that either backlights or sidelights the subject. The flashes are set on SU and will fire {most times}. However, I find this a finicky setup and would love to just connect my pool deck lighting direct to my camera.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I've searched high and low and can't find the information I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance!
