Am hopefully just about to embark on building my own ringflash but have decided to go down the fibre optic route as think it would be very beneficial. Was wondering if anyone else has tried it out and had any tips. Am really after any info on when cutting the fibre do you need to polish the cuts and if you dont how much light loss you get etc.etc. Also any particular tools you used for cutting them?
I think the light delivery should be really good with them and if anyone has any ideas that might be good for it would love to hear them now before i start!
