We will be returning to Wakatobe for the 5th consecutive year in April 2012. It is the best land based diving I have encountered and is only rivaled by a few liveaboard destinations and out-of-the way locations that take more time and adventure than I am willing to tolerate and have accommodations that are substandard.
One can get a flavor of the resort from the site page (www.wakatobi.com).
However, here are my two trip reports from my 2011 visit:

We spent a fabulous 10 days there in Nov 2011, and It certainly is the most fabulous destination. The only problem we had the whole week was finding a finger size dead space on the reef to steady yourself for a shot!
The boats and crew were all great as well. Highly recommended...
