Hello my friends

Am an owner of an Aquatica housing for Canon 40/50D.
I face a problem and till now Aquatica didn't answer on this issue (i expect some more professional after sales).
Attached you can find some images with the part that needs to change.
Can somebody check it out and tell me what and where to look for ?

Thanks a lot

Aquatica is usually pretty good in my experience with them about questions and help. I shot Jean from Aquatica a note to see if he would be able to jump in here and help you out.

Dimitris

I'm not sure how many dealers you contacted (I'm one of them). Aquatica is well aware of the situation as several dealers have contacted them in your behalf already. Please note the time difference between Europe and North America. The request was received well into the afternoon. I gave you some suggestions for a field repair. Give Aquatica time to respond. Please note that this is an older housing and parts have to be found...if they are still available.

Pestering them, a dealer or this forum will not get your answer any faster.

Regards

Stewart Sy

Dimitris? so far you have half a dozen dealers and services center around the world, making long distance and sending e-mail plus you contact me at Aquatica and then you go on Wetpixel, please, we are working on making this shaft, but you have to realize that this housing dates back to around 2007 and we have to make the part manually, that mean stopping production on a machine for a few hours, finding the drawing for the part, loading up the specs make the part, reload the regular production spec's then restarting normal business again.

Now we are in communication with the dealer that made the original request for this part and are arranging for the part to be shipped to them, they will contact you and pick it up from there.

I understand it can be frustrating to be without a working housing, the stainless steel shaft you show has received a severe blow in order to be bent so much), but going around and getting so many dealer and service center involved actually slow's down the process quite a bit as we have to respond to every one of them, lucky for you that they did not all go ahead and actually all put in the order for the shaft, otherwise you would have made a lot of unhappy people stuck with parts and shipping cost for nothing.

Now I suggest you wait for the original dealer to contact you and make the proper arrangement with them concerning the repair of your housing.
