Agreed... I try to get it as close as, well, I think is right 'in camera' ... Although sometimes I do get it wrong (I know it's hard to imagine) ... So anyone with a half decent colour grading feature in their software can get around this... As you have mentioned shooting DSLR underwater can be tricky especially going from macro to wide without lens changing... Then again I suppose that will be a prob with the FS700? We need a new EX7 100mbps 4:4:2 and 240fps etc etc

Yeah the FS700 will have the same problems with WA to macro and macro shooting in general. There is talk of powered zoom lenses being introduced, but when that will be and what lenses they are has not been mentioned. The biggest hurdle I've found with a prime lens for macro is repositioning and framing. Once you've got settled and waited for your subject to get happy with you being there you don't necessarily then want to have to keep moving your rig around to reframe which is so easy to do with a decent zoom, but a huge hurdle to overcome without. But hey like Wagsy says if it is 4k we can maybe just crop and zoom in post!!

Absolutely! Ive been doing this since my A1 days and especially with the limited macro of the EX1... So 4k will open up a whole new box of 'crop' possibilities

NEX-FS700/Alpha 70-400mm, using a LA-EA2 A-mount adapter with SLT phase-detection AF seems to work pretty well, tracking a dog running toward the camera. There are rumors that a new 70-400mm is coming this fall.

The only issue is that the A mount adapter won't probably fit any housings built for the FS100/700. No one is going to cater for the adapter, which leaves one with only E mount.

The metabones smart EF adapter is getting rave reviews and it should work with the FS700, but I doubt that it has been tested yet....

I use a variety of dumb adapters with my FS100. I have a dumb EF which I use for my Samyang lenses (8mm FE, 35mm, 85mm and they make a 14mm which I've not got but it could be great UW). I've also got a dumb Pentax K mount which I use old Pentax lenses with and I have a dumb Canon FD mount and a couple of old FD mount lenses. Obviously any manual lenses would need additional controls, but for the price some of them are stunning!

Scott Tibbles was the shooter and he used an EX1/Nano/Gates set up ... Nano set on 100mbps 4:2:2

I know the Amphibico Genesis housing is out for the FS100. Unfortunately the FS700 is larger. No cross use!
