Does anyone know what camera/lenses/microscope/lighting was used to make this video? I can't find anything about "the making of".

The only info I can find so far is:

"Plankton samples were collected and filmed at the Villefranche-sur-Mer Marine Station and on board the schooner Tara using dark field optics and macro lenses or microscopes equipped with HD SLR cameras."

Pretty typical scoop and put in beaker/tank or under microscope with DSLR mounted with an adapter.

Dark field optics simply means black background by using lights or in a studio.

Ha ha...I guessed as much.

I've just picked up an old but nice Olympus CH-2...and am patiently waiting for the DSLR eyepiece adapter to arrive.

The video is of a nice technical standard to work towards.
