I love Keri Wilk's photos, and I decided to try using a snoot for some of my macro shots. I have ordered Reefnet's double arm fiber optic snoot. I currently shoot with 2 Ikelite 161's, but also travel with a spare 161 strobe. In keri's article, he uses an ev slve controler on a tripod. I have all the equipment to do this, but wonder if haveing a sync cord to the snooted strobe on the tripod might be better? II see how using the slave allows you to move more, but I frequently use iTTL when shooting my super macro. Any thoughts?
