I've been asked several times now for recommendations for a good book about UW Video. Any suggestions gratefully received.

The only book on the subject I have in my library is 'A step by step guide to Underwater Video' by John Boyle. Published in 2003 it is not that relevant any more and certainly doesn't cover DSLRs... A couple of chapters are still worth a browse though. There's a golden opportunity for a well written tome on DSLR video in the vien of Martin's Edge's much respected work on stills shooting.

I've never been into these weird video pages on Wetpixel, have to admit, I feel a little scared !
Wait until a certain mod starts name dropping and talking totally un necessary techno babble... That will totally scare you back to the dark arts of Stills

And I have this one - it's pre-DSLR (c2005) but covers the basics.

Alex,
Try this "old" book, if it's still in print:

The equipment content is dated but the techniques are standard and good. With DSLR, I don't think anyone has written a book about them. Technique wise, it isn't too far from shooting with film cameras, except now one can do stuff like white balance, pic profiles and in the case of the D800, self assembling timelapse within the housing.
