We had an underwater photography workshop in Yoshi's Paraiso Club, Cebu, the Philippines between May 12 and 19. And had the pleasure of testing the Nikon D4 and D800 during some dives. Would like to share some photos from the tests:

Hi,

thanks for the pics. Some very nice shots.

I can´t wait to get my D800 underwater.

I was a bit concerned about the Macro capabilities, but you prooved the opposite.

Hi René

The 105VR seemed to have a new life using on the D800 (especially compared with using on D7000 etc.). Not only it focuses faster, the beautiful bokeh and shallow depth of field gives another level of quality to the photos.

Thank you for your comment of the pics. Most of them were taken by Jacqueline, who started taking u/w photos since 2010, and has only 6 or 7 diving trips since then. I am very proud of the result she achieved.

Hi Tim,

The D4 was with 16mm fisheye. And the D800 with 17-35mm.

Thanks for watching,
Edward
