What is the likelihood for any of the housing manufacturerers to select this one?
My biggest question is if UWA wet lenses available today are likely to work with this increased (but still not APS-C) size sensors without too much vignetting.

This newly announced compact camera using the 1" sensor seems like a very good compact system for UW usage.

I'm anxiously awaiting to see what housings will be available for this one, too. I've been happy with the S90/Fix housing while using the Dyron 16mm fish eye lens. The new Canon S100 seems to have vignetting with some of the lenses that were good for the earlier models. I'm guessing, but the Inon UWL-100 with 28mm aperture might be a go. Testing it out will hopefully happen soon and hoping for good results with this camera.

Sounds like things are looking good+1 for this one. I'm hoping with the Sony RX100 the 28-100mm lens will allow most of the wet lenses to be used, as the S90/S95 had this going for it. It looks like Nauticam and Ikelite are looking into possibly making a housing and Recsea, so hope we see something soon.

It will be interesting to see how Nauticam competes in function and price.
The recomended fisheye lens is the Dyron 16mm fisheye on that link. I'm keen to see some test of that combination and even more so with a rectilinear option.

The recently announced Recsea housing doesn't seem to have any threads for a wet UWA, right? That's a pity in that case. Then it's just a macro-machine...

What lens-threads does the recsea housing have?

We tested the Dyron 16mm fisheye lens with the Recsea RX-100 housing today, there was absolutely no vignetting, and a very wide angle of view. - Scott

How good is the Dyron lens? Are the extreme corners soft (useable)?
Thanks in advance.
