Galapagos - Canon G1 X

Just got back from a great couple of weeks in Galapagos. I took my G1 X which I know has not been the most successful received release from Canon recently, but as a point and shoot photographer, it was good to use.

I have two galleries....below the waves and above the waves. Like I say, I am a point and shoot, keep it easy, so dont expect anything brilliant, but it may give other people an idea of the G1 X in sometimes darker conditions. Always grateful for pointers, tips and criticisms.

You are tempting me to take my G1X underwater. Why am I carrying this D800 in its housing?

I buy my own photographic kit. Diving equipment manufacturers and diving services suppliers get even-handed treatment from me whether they choose to advertise in the publications I write for or not. All the equipment I get on loan is returned as soon as it is finished with. Did you know you can now get Diver Mag as an iPad/Android app?

Galapagos is not so far from where I live.
After looking your images, I'm contemplating to go there next year.

For the same reason that you'd rather drive a BMW than a Honda? Visit Paris rather than Bognor? Shoot for Playboy rather than the Sun? Style...
