Hi dear all,
I have brought two Sea & Sea YS-D1 strobe. Using Ikelite sync cord, I have connected the YS-D1 strobes with the Ikelite housing for Sony A55.
Unfortunately, the 2 YS-D1 strobe do not respond.
If I connected the housing with YS-110A or Ikelite strobe, the strobe fire accordingly.
So obviously, the new YS-01 stroble is incompatible with Ikelite housing,with the existing sync cord.
Is Ikelite going to make a new sync cord for YS-01 ??
Can anyone help and advice?

That seems odd; I was under the impression that the D1 used the same electrical sync signals as the 110a. The fact that it works with a standard Nikonos cord on S&S housings suggests that the pinout is the same.

Did you have the switch in the right position? You should be in Manual, not Slave or TTL.
