I was recently in the Red Sea, down at Marsa Shagra (near Marsa Alam) and photographed the attached bright yellow fish. I have been through all my text books (debelius and the collins) and hunted the internet, but nothing has seemed to be quite right. It looks like a blenny of some sort to me. Does anyone have any ideas?
Regards,
Dave

The red sea and eastern africa brown coral blenny is subspecies A. fuscus fuscus. Subspecies holomelas is found in the remainder of the Pacific. They probably look identical though.
