FEATURE PRESENTER (starts at 8PM): Mark Blum
Mark Blum’s unique presentations of underwater 3-D imagery from dive locations around the world have been described as “Hi-Fi for your eyes”! Mark employs the magic of stereo photography to reveal the Earth’s largest and most mysterious environment in depth and detail far beyond the limits of normal human vision. True stereoscopic images will be projected onto a special screen for 3-D viewing with polarized glasses.

BIOGRAPHY
Mark Blum combined three of his favorite hobbies – scubadiving, stereoscopic photography, and an interest in the natural world – when he began experimenting with underwater stereo photography in 1986. Though he picked up his first Stereo Realist camera at a neighbors garage sale when he was 15, Mark has since designed most of his own equipment for 3-D undelWater photography. With scuba gear and weird looking cameras in tow, he has traveled the world extensively to document marine life in three dimensions. His unique 3-D images from around the globe have garnered numerous top awards in national and international competition. Mark’s images are on permanent exhibition in the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the American Museum of Natural History. Mark’s 3-D work has been published on ViewMaster reels, numerous CD’s and many books of his collected stereo photographs, including Beneath the Sea in 3-D and Galapagos in 3-D from Chronicle Books. Most recently, his work has become downloadable from 3DeeCentraI for 3D viewing on Windows 7 and Apple’s iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd Generation.
