..and they will be too expensive, over 1000 USD (EUR) I guess. I would be happier with a much cheaper tamron 60mm or sigma 70mm option for half the Zeiss price. I'm not even sure that the zeiss 50mm macro will have a better optical quality.

In the U.S. the demand for the $1,098 24mm F1.8 Zeiss has outpaced supply a year later, and the reviews have all been positive. I think divers will be very interested in the 50mm F2.8 macro Zeiss.

Sony's 2013 E-mount roadmap shows four non-Zeiss lenses and my wild guesses based on the existing A-mount APS-C lenses are:

G high-performance standard zoom (my wild guess is 16-50 F2.8 OSS G)
Mid-magnification zoom (my wild guess is 18-70 or 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS)
Middle telephoto (my wild guess is 85mm F1.8 or F2.8 OSS, hopefully macro)
Snap pancake (have no idea what that is)

The 2½-year-old E-mount system, including 7 recently announced Sony/Zeiss lenses, has grown to 15 lenses and 2 wide converters, surpassing 14 A-mount APS-C lenses. By the end of 2013, there will be 19 E-mount lenses and 2 converters, catching up to the 20 A-mount FF system.
