Hello Gloria,

Glad to hear you have finally got an image posted! What I like about this image is that you have done well to get the damsel large in the frame and in focus, it is a pity you have cropped some of the anal fin.

These damsels are territorial herbivores and they defend their algae gardens from all comers. This aggression makes them far from camera shy and they are good subjects to take a series of shots of until you get the perfect image. You could have done with being a bit lower to take this shot so that you are in the eyeline of the damsel.

You have done well to get a sharp image as these guys can be hard to keep in focus as they rush the camera! You have also got good subject seperation from the background, which is one of the strengths of this image.
