So this is what happens when I do not get to dive with a camera in my hand for a while. All kinds of strange images materialize. What happens to you when you've been out of the water too long, especially if you are not taking photographs?

You start trying to do a Kate Bush scene? :)

I think the hot chick song of the moment is Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe:

Watch what happens to a bunch of killing machines when they also don't have much to do:

I definitely liked the Miami Dolphins Cheerleader's version a LOT MORE... and there's even an underwater scene:

We're suffering from flooding here in North Wales so I'm shooting very locally. Playing with in-camera imagery and not too much Photoshop.

I probably shouldn't mention this, because someone here like Loftus has probably got the artistry, drive, and budget to do it before me. But I've always wanted to try and 'stage' - either thru a single shot or with some creative shot overlays and props - some of Michael Parkes' work as a photograph. Some of his kind of art deco 'angels', usually with some sort of animal familiar, for example...

Instead as I dessicate, out of seawater for too long, I play with a 3D printer trying to make new underwater photo gear parts, or play with macro shots of insects at the local butterfly house...

Current rig: Sony SLT-alpha55 in Ikelite housing, Sigma 105mm f2.8 DC Macro w/ Ike 5505.58 flat port or Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM behind UWCamStuff custom 5" mini-dome. Dual INON z240 Type IVs triggered with DS51 for TTL mimicry, or DS51 alone with home-made ringflash assy for macro.

Topside, unhoused: Sony SLT-alpha99, Sigma 150-500mm + 1.4TC (Saving for Sony 70-400 G2), Sigma 15mm diagonal fish, Sony 24-70mm f2.8 CZ, Tamron 180mm f2.8 Macro...all the gear and nary a clue...

Awesome, but you really need to see the Miami Dolphin's video first so you understand the context for the video done by the troops. They did a great job with the parody.

Ok guys, this is an artsy shot without any fooling around in Photoshop. All I did is set the white balance. The water did everything else.
