Hi,
I was just thinking about getting a Sola 600 for my GP2, how did it work out for you? Enough light? or sub-par?
do you have any vids posted on youtube?
Thanks

First of all the Solas are fabulous. Rock solid, small and easy to use. I would say the 600 is not the best video light -- it just doesnt throw light more than a couple of feet. It's a FANTASTIC focus light and more than adequate for macro video.
I was at Digital Shootout last June and someone shot a gorgeous video using a gopro. Turns out he was also using a Gates light system that costs megabucks. I'm starting to think u/w video is a little like the old old conventional wisdom we once followed with stereos -- put as much money as you can into the speakers. In this case, I'd say put as much money as you can into light. I'm shooting twin Sola 2000s now and i could see why i might want more...
