Hi There,

I have got an Aquatica 5D MKII housing up for sale.

Housing is in good condition the only things different from original standard supply are:

· The housing has deep rated springs so housing rated for 120m instead of 90m (factory installed).
· I have disconnected the cable from the hydrophone, as I didn’t find it really useful and had to be careful when putting on the back cover that the cable didn’t get caught in the o-ring. I have heard of people flooding cameras due to this cable so I felt it safer to not have it and remove the risk.
· I also have two zoom/focus gears that I won't be needing. These are the 18708 for the Canon EF16-35 MKII lens and the other was the 18702 which was for the Canon 15mm Fisheye which I have machined to suit the Canon EF8-15mm Fisheye Zoom. Never used it on the 15mm Fisheye as the generous focus range and quick focus but very useful now as a zoom gear for the 8-15mm fisheye.

I was thinking $2200-2500. you can have both gears if you want as I won't be needing them, sorry but I don't have a spare port.

If you want more details or photos then send me a message

Is the housing still for sale, I have a friend in WA (Perth) that could ship over to me in the UK.
To clarify is your price in US$ or AUS$?
Cheers...

Just to clarify, what is for sale is the housing and two gears, the photos is how I have the housing configured and the only photos I had on hand. The price is negoitable (and in $AUD as that where I happen to live).

This is off topic but I like your lanyard and the eye splices.  How did you make the eye splices in your lanyard?  I thought a lanyard would be too short to complete an eye splice on both ends.

Thanks for the udpate.

So to be clear the sale does not include the lanyard or aquatica viewfinder shown in the rig photos, nor does it include any ports?

The hydrophone cable has been cut and would need soldering back together (not a difficult job)?

Does the housing come with single/dual Nikonos/Ikelite bulkhead connectors?

Thanks in advance for the info...

Hi There,

The photos is just how I have got it set-up at present. What is for sale is as follows:

  • One Aquatica 5D MKII housing with Standard Aquatica View Finder.
    • Aquatica housing factory fitted with deep rated springs.
    • Aquatica Housing with Ikelite connector.
  • Zoom Gear part number 18708 for the Canon EF16-35 MKII lens.
  • 18702 which was for the Canon 15mm Fisheye which I have machined to suit the Canon EF8-15mm Fisheye Zoom.

The hydrophone cable can be easily repaired if desired. I can supply photos of just the housing if requiered.

The lanyard was self made use composite sailing rope (ie inner shock cord with outer sheaf). The inner cord I removed and inserted a small bit of foam to help float up the lead and provide a bit more dimater for carrying. the ends of the outer sheaf I melted into a points and spliced back into itself.the snaps where 1" standard snaps with fixed eyes.
