In what has to be a NAB first, Red built a mini-workshop to upgrade Epic-M/X cameras to 6k 100fps Dragon sensors right on the floor of the tradeshow.

Couldn't agree more....Plus firmware built 4.0.10 has just came out so that those in the queue don't feel so lonesome until they are fitted with a new set of armor. I have to take my hat off to this company called RED.

Also with the old Red Rocket too in M-logic thunderbolt enclosure. I am very interested to see if Rocket X is really 5 times faster.

Engadget has posted full details of the upgrade/trade-in paths for Scarlet owners.

http://www.engadget....scarlet-dragon/

Briefly though, for $9,500 and a Scarlet body, you will get an EPIC-X which can then be upgraded to an EPIC Dragon. Alternatively, you can pay $9,500 and get your existing Scarlet upgraded to the Dragon sensor.

The  discount for the rocket-X if you buy it at the same time as a dragon upgrade is quite substantial.  $4495 vs $6750 Very Very tempting
