The Northern California Underwater Photography Society (NCUPS) proudly announces the 2013 Monterey Shootout.
The Monterey Shootout will be held August 9-11, 2013. On this weekend, SCUBA divers from all over the United States will converge on Monterey, California, to sharpen their underwater photography skills and compete for over $25,000.00 in prizes. For 32 years running, this is one of the most exceptional underwater photo contests in the United States.
During this three-day event, participants are offered seminar courses that are sure to teach them new underwater photo and video techniques. Diving and image taking is open for the first 32-hours of the competition. All amateur underwater photographers and videographers are welcome. Digital photos and videos must be taken from dives during the 32-hour competition period along the Monterey coastline.
