Can anyone recommend a brand (and type) of rechargeable battery that works well with Sea&Sea YS120?

After reading previous posts I have not found the information I was after.

Thanks

I've been using the Imedion 2400 mHa rechargeable AA batteries for a few years now. I think they are the best value all things considered.

They have a decent capacity, hold their charge ok and seem to have a reasonable charge number life. I use one of the Maha MH-C801D eight

cell chargers with mine.

Have bought all my batts and chargers from this mob in Melbourne- http://stores.ebay.c...raphicequipment

Cheers,

Jim.

No explosions?

I was concerned because the label on the strobes recommends only Manganese, NiCd or Alkaline.

Thanks

I have been using the Nimh on my YS 120s since around 2001, no problems so far :) and I use them a lot

I think the strobes came out before Nimh was on the market so maybe they never updated the info as they stopped making those strobes many years ago.

Once I had my battery compartment flood on my ys120. Some of them before a certain serial # are suposedly not compatable with nimh batteries.  In my case I had just taken them off the charger and they were warm still when I put them in the strobe. Now I let em cool before hand. No problems since.

Great strobes you can pick up on ebay cheap sometimes.  Just have some vinager if you get a flood to clean it out  good. I put mine back in service and it still works fine.

 Good luck. - John
