Hi Wetpixelers,

Back in June I thought I would try out this UW photography thing, so I did some research and got some gear. But I never actually managed to use it at all until this past week (not even get it wet in a pool)!!

As this is a milestone moment for me, and has confirmed my love for what I think will be a very long (and expensive!!!) obsession, I thought I would share some highlights from my first experience of underwater photography.

Browsing these forums, I am in awe of the level of creativity and skill (and just plain in-the-moment luck) showcased here, and over the coming years I hope to contribute meaningfully as best I can.

All constructive criticism appreciated! :)

Welcome to Wetpixel!

Congratulations on making such a nice start.  You captured some remarkable images for your first trip underwater with a camera.  Can you tell us about your rig?

Cheers,

Steve
