They are clearly taking juveniles, too. Cutting the whale sharks' throats to spite their own, destroying the giants to satisfy a very short-term greed.

 

Horrible.

 

Even as a tourist spectacle, whale sharks are magnificent:

There is this huge international outcry - and quite rightly so - about the shark culling in W. Australia but this just hits the press once and then vanishes
