Hairy frog fish right ???

It is a Juvenile hairy frog fish ??

Not sure, but I think you are right.  Anyway, that is a spectacular photo!  Very nicely lit for such a tough subject.  Where did you shoot it?

 

You have some very nice shots in your Flickr galleries also.  The porcelain crab on a blue anemone is really something.

that was taken in the Philippines (Malapascua) on a muck dive site (HR Evolution...) a while ago...

In fact it s a tough subject ;)

Pretty certain this is a striated (hairy) frogfish. Their lure looks correct (like a polychaete worm). You can see another black one with a bit of commentary just after 4:15 in my video.
