anyone has tested macromate lens from backscatter.com ?
Is the same than Nexus wet lens?

Haven't tested it but it is about $435.00 more expensive than the Nexus wet lens.

It is an achromat diopter and yields a much higher magnification than the one sold bu Nexus USA.

I would hope that it was special at over SEVEN TIMES the price of the NEXUS wet lens.
James, what is the magnification factor?

Sorry, I used the wrong term. It's a diopter, so it doesn't technically have a magnification factor. I saw some of Berkley's Komodo shots at the Digital Shootout - taken with the 105 and macromate - and they were stunning.
