*UPDATE* 3 spots just opened up, Apr 26, 2006. (last-minute cancellations)

Sardine run details are available now!

SARDINE RUN, South Africa - June 21-30, 2006
10-day expedition with SEAL (Sea-Air-Land) Expeditions

Join us in South Africa for one of the world's greatest spectacles of nature.

Location - Port St Johns, Eastern Cape, South Africa (and a huge territory of water around there)

Price: $ 4,250* per person, sharing (plus $500 single supplement, if you want your own room)

*We decided to limit the number of participants to 10 total, which will make for a better experience on the zodiacs and in the water.

Every year the world’s greatest marine migration takes place off the South African Wild Coast. Millions of sardines follow the cold winter currents moving north toward the warm Indian Ocean, bringing with them thousands of predators: dolphins, sharks, whales, seals and marine birds.

Doug Perrine won last year's British Natural History Museum's Wildlife Photographer of the Year award with an image he took while on a sardine run expedition.

Already booked for this year and the next few years. Email me if you need help and info. Been there for 4 year in a row now. It is not for everyone.

Worried about bladder control Mike? :-)

I haven't decided if I can make on the trip yet, or not. I would LOVE to go.

Theres a good old saying that "there's two types of divers in this world; those who pee in their wetsuits, and those that lie about it !!"

so ... i know i pee in mine .... but then again i don't where a wetsuit that often, brrr guess i may have to down there .. maybe i should get me a drysuit for it.

Damn this is costing me my other liver as well now !

Interesting...not sure about the UK, but in most places people only have one liver.... :)
Perhaps you should sell the bladder instead and not have to worry about the pee thing...

How cold is it in SA? If i wear a 7mm here, think i will be in trouble there....

Guys - there is currently only one spot left, assuming everyone who got on the list with verbal committment goes through with their payments. So ... if you want to go you should probably get in touch with me now. :)
