Well,It is from the atoll of French polynesia(Tahiti)-Lagoon of Rangiroa.

Well, I'm pretty sure it's a scallop and not an oyster. Might get you started.

Looks like a thorny oyster (they look like scallops)...Spondylus sp. of some kind. The colouration doesn't match any reference I have.
