Did i miss something? Is Alex off on some new and exciting trip to regale us with more outstanding D2X shots?

not that i know of .. He may be on a random quick red sea thing .. but as far as i know he is in the UK .. he hasn't made a post since the end of last month though .. who knows maybe he got a girlfriend and has been busy. Not even his camera or diving can keep him off wetpixel for this long !

Sorry for the slow reply - just back from the Maldives. Horrible!
Whale sharks, manta rays, orcas and a dedicated female model in tow
for two weeks!

Female model? Orcas in the Maldives? You don't believe him do you?? Its the female model part that really throws it off....

unfortunately it is more than likely true.

it sounds like he has found a preffered replacement for me.
hopefully i am still the cayman model of choice .. maybe if i get a girlfriend i can secure my position as a modelling couple

i wonder if the female model got paid .. i will have to practice my UW blue steel if he's into professionals now !

It was a great trip. But I don't want to share any of my maldives images until later in the year. In any case I am sure that everyone is fed up with my pix after the millions of galleries I posted when I got the D2X. That said, below are a couple from the news section of my website (sorry they are so small).

Went on MV Sea Spirit trip orgnaised by Maldives Scuba Tours. First class! Favourite dive - Maaya Thila at night - when the white tip reef sharks come up onto the reef to hunt fish. V cool.

When I was downloading my manta shots I was there thinking "Damn it, these aren't as good as Mike's"! Sad, eh?

Nice stuff, Orcas in the Maldives, sweet! Can't believe you didn't try to jump in though...

Your manta looks plenty good to me, reminds me to put down the video and grab my still one of these days. They just work so well in BW if you ask me, i just have to get better at the processing end for that.

Of course i think we would all like a closer look at your model....

Just looked at your news section as well, great job on the new cover, looks great. Also on the new regular feature, happy for lots of your recent success.

On the stealing ideas front...well i just so happened to love that anemone cover shot myself, shot something similar recently....
But mine won't work for a cover like yours, just a double page spread so almost the same money....but yours looks a lot nicer with all the colour.


Anyhoo, looking forward to seeing this project when it is finished, be sure to keep us up to date
