Palau after the storm

06 January 2013 - 10:41 AM

We were a bit concerned about the after effects of Bopha. Fortunately the underwater world seems to be thriving with a few minor exeptions!

Thanks to Sams, Rene and Jason from Safari, and my patient model Michelle!

Eastern Fields PNG 21 Nov - 5 Dec 2012 - $500 off!

30 October 2012 - 08:19 AM

I am booked and fully paid up for this trip of a lifetime on MV Golden Dawn. However my son has been in a serious accident and I have to cancel. Due to the late nature I cannot get any refund at this stage unless I get someone to take my place. So I am offering the trip to anyone at a  $500 discount.
Full trip price I paid is $4725, you can get it for $4225.
Details of this trip can be found at http://www.mvgoldendawn.com/ and numerous posts on the forums here. As UW photographers you will probaly know about this amazing and pristine dive destination which only rarely becomes available.
If interested please contact Craig de Wit directly ( and ask to book my spot )  at craig@MVGoldenDawn.com

Xit 404 Pentamirror for DSLR video

27 June 2012 - 08:08 PM

Just wondering if anybody has any experience with using the Xit 404 Pentamirrors for DSLR video. http://www.xit404.co...l...etail&p=176

Would it be a useful addition for shooting some occasional SLR  UW video? How easy and safe is it to install and uninstall it in the field?

Thanks for any info.

Sea and Sea Strobes

25 May 2012 - 10:37 AM

I have a bunch of Sea and Sea strobes in need of new homes. There are older strobes that will not provide TTL exposure with dgital cameras without conversion circuitry but work just fine for manual exposure with any camera.
They are all gently used but are in perfect working order:

Two YS-120 Duo 's ( the old workhorses )
YS-90 Auto
YS-90 Duo
YS-30 ( cordless slave TTL, with new battery cap - original was recalled )
YS-60 C ( this is an interesting one. One of very few strobes that provided TTL compatibility with Canon film cameras without Nikonos conversion. Has its own N5 sync cord )

All reasonable offers considered. Paypal accepted
Please pm me if tou need any details
