#378951 FS: Nauticam Wet Wide Lens 1 (WWL-1) and M77 to Bayonet Mount Converter

Posted by photoagent101 on 20 November 2016 - 03:58 PM

Sorry folks, the lens has been sold.

Craig -- yes, the WWL-1 lens does have some heft and bulk to it.  However, Nauticam has a mounting bracket so you can attach the wet lens to a strobe arm, which makes it pretty easy to carry around.  In the water, I did not find the weight or bulk to be much of a problem.  That said, I am just not sure how much I would use this lens.  I will be posting on my blog (just google "Norbert Wu blog") a pretty comprehensive review of the WWL-1 lens, hopefully by the end of the week.

PS to lutfu: On the 12-50mm lens, the WWL-1 lens vignettes at around 16mm, from my tests.  If you use it with a 12-42mm lens, for  instance, it will be wider on the latter lens.

#367265 FS: Used ball arms (same as ULCS, Nauticam, etc)

Posted by photoagent101 on 18 November 2015 - 08:10 PM

Selling used TLC ball arms.  These TLC arms have worked well for years.  They work just as well as the newer ULCS arms and are the same standard size as ULCS arms and balls, so you can mix and match with ULCS, Nauticam, etc.  Some of these arms have barely been used.  Get a great deal on arms that work well -- and some of these look like new.

All arms, from 15" long to 8" long: $20

Short bottom arms (dovetail shoe on one end, ball on other): $20

The arms with a flat part with a hole at the end are designed to fit directly to Sea and Sea or Ikelite strobes.  I personally have used Ikelite for years and these upper arms fit directly to Ikelite strobes that have the standard flat Ikelite mount.

The arms with a dovetail fit directly into a TLC or ULCS dovetail shoe.

I have used these types of arm for the past 25 years.   They worked just fine for me.  They are simple, they lock into the housing with a dovetail shoe, there is only one clamp to tighten, and then only a second arm directly to the strobe.  This keeps things simple.  You can take the entire arm/ strobe combination off a housing quickly rather than having to loosen a clamp and take something off a ball.

Shipping in the US is about $6 via US Priority Mail.

If you are interested, please contact Norb Wu at temp2_at_norbertwu.com.  Please no phone calls.  I am happy to entertain reasonable offers.  I can accept credit cards, Paypal, money orders, and personal checks.  Money orders and personal checks will have to clear my bank before the product is shipped; which can take up to three weeks.  Shipping will be at buyer's expense (at actual cost) and will be UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, or USPS Priority Mail (all of which give tracking of packages).  If we conclude a deal, I'll give you a quote for shipping via one of the above methods.

Thanks!
