Using a Nikonos V

Fellow Wet pixels

I am using a Nikonos V with an older Nikkor 15mm lens. This version has a lens barrel that protrudes further into the camera body then the newer Nikkor 15mm lens. I have been told using the older 15mm lens eliminates the use of the TTL system due the the extra lens lenght. If this is true, does anybody know what other features of the Nikonos V are eliminated.
