In Topic: Give your feedback on buyers/sellers

I purchased a couple of DS125 strobes and assorted bits and pieces from pxguru.
He provided excellent communication throughout the deal, the items were well maintained and at a fair price, and postage was quick.
I'm very happy with the transaction.

Cheers - thanks! Glad you'll get good use out of them. Safe diving.

In Topic: TTL fibre optic cables for Nexus D300 and YS110 alpha ?

30 November 2011 - 09:47 PM

My Nexus D300 housing with fiber optic bulkheads does not accept the S&S L-connector on the fiber. Opening is too small. I use S&S YS 110's & 27's with S&S fiber cable. The bulkhead requires a 2mm fiber optic adapter to accommodate the S&S 2mm diameter cable without connector. Cut off the L-connector on one end. Just insert the bare cable in the adapter. If it comes out put it back in - even underwater. There's a very small o-ring in the adapter to help retain the fiber cable. Once installed the adapter is hard to remove, but really no need to do so unless you change cable diameter. Contact Joe here for adapters.

Thanks for the clear and concise explanation. Now I can tell Santa what to bring me for Xmas. :-)

Hi Eric,

Sure - will post pics later today when I get back from work.

I have some "spare" strobe arms somewhere I think :-) Let me hunt through my stuff (I have just moved apartments and not had a great deal of time to unpack and re-organise).

Cheers
