Aloha,

I have a Sony FX1 in a Gates housing. I am having a lot of trouble getting the camera to manual white balance. I have tried white slates, gray slates, coral, filter on-filter off, I even just got a professional white balance slate from DSC which is set specifically for my camera and housing and it won't work past ten feet. It is extremely frustrating. It only works in very shallow (0-8ft) and with lights on with slate 2 inches away.
(I have a Sony HVR-A1J and I can manual white balance it whenever I need.)
Any help would great, especially from an owner/user of a FX1.
