Diving in South East Asia

In 2 weeks I fly to Vietnam, do a couple of days of tours then get on a boat and travel to Cambodia on the Mekong River.

It looks like I may get an extra week there.

So, I am looking for suggestions on what to do.

The tour recommends you fly into Vietnam and out of Cambodia to/from LA. However, I have a week to play.

Is there any decent diving in Cambodia or Vietnam? SHould I head to Thailand or another destination to get in some diving? Or, is there some place as a MUST SEE, omn land while I'm there?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I need to make flight arrangements ASAP!

I've done some searches, but thought I'd ask as well.

I have a NEWB friend going to Oahu in March and she would like to take a refresher class and do some diving on Oahu.

Can anyone suggest a good outfit that could offer a safe refresher as well as some good dives? She will be going in March of 2013.

Anyone know anything about the Humbolt Explorer for diving in The Galapagos? I see no reference on searches here.

Seems a long way to go for a weeks diving, but have away wanted to add that to my list.

Hey Guys!

I have 10 days off from the 17th-26th of December, so will have about a week to go for a dive trip.

Was thinking Roatan for ease, but does anyone know a place reasonably accessible from Anchorage, AK? Would prefer large stuff, but am not opposed to a macro destination as well. A week kinda limits my travel, but anything would be appreciated.

Whale Sharks Holbot or Isla Mujeres

I can possibly go for a week b/t the 17th and the 3rd of June in search of whale sharks. I may be open to other Must see/shoot critters.

Can anyone suggest an operator that has a small number of clients that may be geared towards photographers. I've seen some hits on the searches, but an looking to get more info.
