Unique lighting?
01 June 2009 - 08:32 AM
I am looking to shoot some UW portraits. I have seen a lot of people using simalar lighting setups. I am looking to try out some "UnOrthodox" lighting. Has anyone ever used a flare, sparklers, bright glow sticks, or fireworks? Any thing that burns bright, and still works underwater? Is this a bad idea? Sure these things get hot, but if used in a way that the model does not actually touch them, it may look cool.
Sell me your Ikelite equipment.
11 May 2009 - 07:52 AM
I am in need of a Ikelite:
#5510.24 - Extended Zoom Port Body
&
#5510.45 - 8" Dome Assembly
If anyone has these items for sale let me know. I would prefer them to be in excelent shape and in perfect working order.
Let me know if you have anything else for sale. I maybe interested.
Thanks,
MyEsque

Ewa-Marine U-BXP100 Underwater Housing? To buy or not to buy?
28 March 2009 - 12:21 PM
I am spanking new to the underwater photography realm. I am looking to shoot underwater portraits. Brides, Seniors, Family, Sports teams, and a occasional vacation snorkeling trip.
I have done some research and this is the option I am fond of:
Ewa-Marine U-BXP100 Underwater Housing
I am not a certified diver yet. I would love to be one day. For now a snorkel will have to do. So I will not be diving to much deeper than 10-15 ft at any time. Being this is my first purchase of underwater gear, and I would like to make sure it is a good fit, and there is a market for it in my area, I do not want to spend $5K on the set up.
I have 2 Canon 5d's and a New 5d Mark II on the way. Several 2.8 lenses.
Will this set up be ample enough to get a feel for what I want to do?
Sorry for the Newbie questions.
Best,
Bryce
