This is an essentially brand new Nauticam macro port. It has been on only one dive trip and has no scratches or marks anywhere. I am selling simply because I shoot mostly with the 60 mm macro and rarely use my 105 mm lens. I've switched to a Nauticam Macro port 60 that I use with an extension ring whenever I shoot my 105 mm.
The port was purchased new from Reef Photo for $400. I would like to see it for $300.

Uploaded Colors not good with Adobe Raw/Photoshop combo
03 March 2012 - 09:29 PM
I process my raw images in Adobe Camera Raw. It seems that if I do anything additional in Photoshop and save the image, upon upload I loose the contrast and saturation back to the original raw appearance in the uploaded image. The image saved via Photoshop still looks great on my computer. Why do they look great on my computer in the saved file but when I preview an upload (to the POTW contest for instance!) the colors are washed out? I think I've read somewhere that the edits are really in a "sidecar" file and haven't really changed the actual image; therefore I suspect the sidecar data is lost or unread upon uploading. How do I save the image with changes to the actual file? This issue doesn't seem to arise when the image is processed using ACR alone.
FIX G10 Housing/Lenes
22 January 2012 - 12:19 PM
I have just upgraded to a DSLR rig and am looking to sell my G10 set-up. System was purchased new from ReefPhoto 8/09 and includes the FIX G10 housing, two-handled ULCS tray, FIX mini LED focus light, FIX G10 two element flip macro lens, and FIX fisheye conversion lens. I will sell the G10 camera as well if you don't have one already. You will have to purchase external strobes to complete the system as I am keeping my pair of YS-110a. I also have a Pelican 1510 case I would be willing to sell along with the system. It is padded to hold all the camera system, plus the ULCS arms, 2 strobes, and two regulators.
The set-up, excluding the camera and pelican case, cost me just over $2000 new. I am selling for $1200. Add $250 for the G10 camera itself and $150 for the Pelican case.
I will be glad to email images taken with both the macro and fisheye lenses to anyone interested.

How best to view camera shooting mode on a D7000
14 January 2012 - 02:32 PM
After several years with a Canon G10 in FIX housing (which I plan to sell BTW), I have upgraded to a Nikon D7000 in a Nauticam housing with a 45 degree magnifying viewfinder. I have not yet gotten the system wet yet but having been playing with it topside first. I have a simple question: With the camera in the housing I cannot tell what mode I have selected (M, A, or S). I can hit the info but and it brings it up on the LCD, but the 45 degree viewfinder obstructs part of the LCD and I have to tilt the housing to see it. Is there a way in the shooting menu to make the D7000 display the shooting mode in the viewfinder? I will be in the pool with it next week to start working on my skills and just trying to get as proficient as possible beforehand so I can make that pool session as productive as possible. My next time to practice with the camera after the pool session next week will be in Fiji in less than a month!
