I tried a search but nothing came close to my question.
Is it possible to change your user name or would i have to open a new account?
Cheers Pete.

Canon S90 & FIX Housing for sale
15 December 2012 - 04:53 PM
Due to a camera upgrade, I have a canon S90 camera & the FIX housing to suit for sale.
The camera is in mint condition with no marks at all & the housing has the usual scuff marks on it.
The front port of the housing is in mint condition also but the rear door glass has a couple of scratches but they are on the outside of the housing & no way effect the pictures.
Also included is a 67mm threaded wide angle lens & a red filter to suit.
The housing has the 67mm threaded adaptor on the front.
Located in Sydney Australia but happy to ship at buyers expense.
New cost was around $2000, asking $600
Canon 5d mk3
09 December 2012 - 09:20 PM
Hi everyone.
I'm looking for some advice on a possible camera upgrade.
I am looking at purchasing a canon 5d mk3 but i would like to know what lenses people are using & what you find works & more importantly, what doesn't work. Both macro & wide. Is anyone using the canon 17-40mm & what macro lenses?
I am leaning towards an ikelite housing. Is anyone using one of these? Even a 5d mk2 version?
Any feedback on the housing would be greatly appreciated also.
Thankyou.
Cheers pete.

Panasonic HVX 200 users, a little help please?
19 August 2012 - 02:37 AM
A few questions for anyone using a panasonic HVX 200. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Firstly what settings are you using? I have mine set in 1080i/24p but underneath that in the recording setup, it has 480i rec mode & that is set in DVCPRO50, but it is in blue & not green like the other settings.
I can't change that at all. I assume i want to record in DVCPRO100/HD
Is there a reason why i can't change the setting?
Also does that mean i am recording in 480i & not 1080i?
I am recording to P2 card, i just bought a new 64gb card.
Also i have two 5400mah batteries that show about 70mins of usage after a full charge, does that sound right? I would have thought they would last a little longer. Maybe time for some new batteries?
What program are you using to view the footage on your computer? I use windows 7.
Thanks in advance for any help with these.
Cheers Pete.

Attaching Loc-line arms to Gates housing handles
23 July 2012 - 10:51 PM
For anyone wanting to use Loc-line arms on a Gates housing, here is what i did.
Light & Motion Bluefin housings have a fitting that comes on there handles. This fitting can be unscrewed & better yet, contact your local dealer & order a pair from them.
I got mine from Pete Mooney at Scubapix.
The centre hole in the fitting is the same size as the hole in the Gates handles so it was just a matter of finding the right screws or nut & bolt combo & fitting them.
I used 316 stainless screws & a nyloc nut but you could easily cut a thread into the handle with a tap & dye & just use a screw.
Now my Sola 4000s are easily attached & unattached simply by pulling up the collar & twisting.
Hope that is of use for someone else.
