How about, I think I need a new camera and housing, this one just sucks. I really enjoy taking photos but my gear sucks so bad I just don't know what I'm going to do. Then after a week of so goes by, well it wouldn't be so bad if I could at least see what I was shooting. I suppose a view finder would help that quite a bit, I probably wouldn't need a new camera if I could see what I was shooting with this one.

In Topic: HOW TO FLOOD YOUR NEW D750

05 April 2015 - 06:10 AM

But wait, you were suppose to learn from my mistakes a couple a years ago......Condolences on your D750. Wish I didn't know what that feels like. I've had two floods, one minor and everything ended up ok and one major. Both user error and just plain careless handling. My new thing is don't let anyone or anything distract me while assembling the kit. While Ikelite has your housing have them put in another bulkhead so you can add a vacuum system, instantly identifies problems...

In Topic: Sola Photo 1200 issues

We have had these troubles with our Sola lights, both the 800 and the 1200. What I think is happening is that the third prong on the plug isn't making contact. But by working the plug back and forth along the narrow axis we can always get them to charge.  After wiggling it a bit and getting a steady red light indicating a charge I carefully sit down and watch a bit because sometimes it takes another application of wiggling. Awesome right, well not so much but it's worked so far.

I know, i know you are trying get smaller. I get that I really do. I have a 4 year old MacBook Pro, I agree it's heavy, I hate carrying it. My Wife just bought a new MacBook Pro. It's faster, it's screen is way better and it's half as thick and ⅔ as heavy as my 4 year old machine. Not as small as an Air but much improved I think. I'll be updating soon. But a few years ago I just took my iPad with a camera kit and loaded the cards onto the iPad and didn't delete the photos from the cards for my back up. It worked pretty well but I missed my MacBook so I have been lugging it every sinc
