I have exactly the same problem. Turning the knob to one side works (not very smoothly, but it works). But when I try to turn the other side it gets stuck after about half a turn. I tried everything to try to fix it, but since I even have the problem without the camera mounted in the housing, any solutions like changes in the base plate are useless. The alignment of the wheels inside seems completely faulty to me. They move around and at one point it's not possible to turn any further...

I've been trying to contact Nauticam Thailand several times. I never got a reply from them, so I tried the main office (enquiry@nauticam.com) Also no reply... The contact form on their website doesn't work. Not an example of great customer service if you ask me. Could anyone please give me contact details from someone at Nauticam who can help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance

I had the same problem initally, the gears turned then seemed to bind against each other [ that was with no camera in as well]... nauticam replaced the gearing mechanism for me. Then I had the back turn dial problem but nauticam has fixed everything and it works perfect now.

Thats what I thought re the strobe colour temp diffusers. The rest is you say... in camera K setting or post WB.

I am thinking aloud here so this may sound dumb.
I thought the hue of the blue in underwater is adjusted in camera settings f-stop/shutter speed, e.g sunburst shots etc.
It has been mentioned by Alex that the foreground colours are pretty much the same when using the 4600/4900 Inon filters on Z240
and they just change the hue of blue background.
I thought the warmer light would change all of the tones?
It must be the initial warm strobe flash travelling across the front of the camera lens that creates the different background blue effect??
because the strobe light doesn't travel that far into the distance, especially with Z240.

I have been using a LaLuz and its excellent. You have to just touch the button to change setting not press it hard. Love using it.

Just wanted to give shout out to Peter Mooney - Nauticam Australia. My NA7D housing has been serviced and the turn knob problem resolved. Peter Mooney sent me the back of his NA7D housing to use whilst mine was serviced. The turn knob gear mechanism was replaced and I used it all last week on dive holiday.... it works sweet as. So nice to have everything on the housing working smooth. Love the NA7D .... very happy Nauticam owner.
