I wear a photo vest in addition to my hand carry(sometimes 2).  I carry my lenses, camera body and whatever else I can fit into it.  You'll look goofy, and it will weigh quit a bit, but it wont count against your hand carry weight.  :)  Take it off and store it once you get on the plane.

Depending on what your chasing, you'll quickly realize it was made for swimming underwater, and you weren't.  I've followed things like turtles, sea snakes, eels, rays, etc, but only because they didn't seemed to be bothered by my presence.  Trying to follow something like a spotted eagle ray gliding along a wall will empty your tank pretty quick!  I suggest you approach whatever it is slowly, if it is not bothered by you, it will let you swim with it.  If it doesn't want you around, it will keep the distance between you and it constant, or just swim off.

Here is one from Asia Divers specifically for Malapascua.  Anyone who has been to Malapascua can see from the pictures it took a direct hit.

In Topic: Recommended New Laptop choices for editing RAW files

I have the Microsoft Surface Pro 128.  The Pro 2 is out with 256 SSD drive and 8 gigs memory. It Handles photoshop and lightroom without issues and has USB 3.0 for external storage (I use for backup) and SD card slot (for double backup when travelling).

Also has a pen which comes in handy for editing.  Very lightweight and fast.
